👋🏼 Frontier Photography is Oklahoma's niche traveling photographer.

I’m Hunter, a passionate, client-focused photographer based in Central OKC, though I frequently travel to Broken Bow for shoots. If you’re here, I appreciate you taking the time to check out my work, and I’d love the opportunity to capture something special for you!

Like a lot of people, I first got into photography when cell phones started coming with decent cameras. I loved pushing them to their limits to get the best possible shots. That led me to buy my first DSLR—a Canon T3i—back in the early 2010s. In 2019, I upgraded to a Canon T6i, which became my go-to through the pandemic, giving me plenty of time to refine my style. These days, I shoot primarily on Sony gear because it gives me the exact look I want for my clients.

They say there’s a time and place for everything, and the same goes for photography. My style leans toward a “filmic” and sometimes “polarizing” look, but I know when to dial it back for softer sessions—especially with pets and children. Hopefully, my work speaks to you!

My Life

Born & raised in Southern Maine, I moved to Oklahoma to be with my family in 2020. It was here that I honed my skills and dug into photography. I have two amazing kids, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and met my loving wife in 2022.

My Faith

Growing up in a small Baptist church, I really enjoy the small church atmosphere and never felt at home in some of the larger churches. I attend Broken Bow Church of Christ whenever I am in town, and have felt a renewed sense of faith in the past few years, thanks to my wife.

My Passions

Outside of doom-scrolling Marketplace for the latest camera deals, I enjoy playing guitar, working outside, pretending to know how to work on vintage automobiles, firearms, and above all, a nightcap of ice cream.

My Approach

When it comes to taking photos for my clients, I ask a lot of questions (be prepared!) I love to get to know everyone I work with, as well as any pets I take photos of. It's truly an honor to work for you!
